Therapeutic blog

What's this Therapeutic Blog about?

I've started this Therapeutic Blog page to offer you information and to point you to sources of help and support if your life is affected by cancer - whether you have cancer yourself, or your spouse or partner is battling with it, or you are a family member, friend or carer.   The blog will offer short summaries of ideas, research reports, new thinking, patient experiences, independent writings and so forth.  Anyone whose life is affected by cancer has their own journey and their own story.  I hope you will find this blog interesting and helpful in coping with your own unique experience of cancer.

The focus of the blog will reflect my own areas of expertise, so it will be mainly about the contribution of the talking therapies, and Clinical Hypnosis in particular.  But it may also from time to time refer to other complementary therapies - helping therapies that sit alongside the various forms of treatment offered by doctors and nurses in the Health Services.  We work alongside them and offer additional forms of help that are not usually available through hospitals and doctors' surgeries.

There will be a fresh posting on this page at least every fortnight, and often more frequently.  It may not hit the spot for you every time, but why not put the page in your favourites and click on regularly to check whether there's a little gem there with something you really needed?
